NSW 0 - 0 QLD
OUR TIP: NSW by 8 WIN
NSW and QLD in Melbourne for Game 2. NSW played terrible in Game 1 but got the job done after Ponga was sent off but had bombed plenty of chances leading up to that. If NSW hold the ball they have to much overall ability to keep the QLD Team at bay. Mclean is being queried but the game when he first came up against Crichton in Club land showed he can rise to the occasion and some. I am not convinced that Daley is the man for the job but the overall class of NSW and QLDs terrible Melbourne record should see the Blues home and wrap up the Series. My main concern is if Referee Klein starts flow cheat Refereeing looking to make game 3 in Brissy a live game as he did last year. It is up to the NRL to either protect the Integrity of the game or allow cheating flow Refereeing to get a live 3rd game. Rules are Rules and to have to worry about a fair game is concerning!!!
Rabbitohs 48 - 6 Broncos
OUR TIP: Rabbitohs by 8 WIN
Yes the Broncos are last years Premiers but the arrogance of their Coach his year probably shows why his sides fall off the map after such a great achievement, Arrogance!! Last week when he removed Mam from the game the Broncos went backwards and again against the Rabbits. Why give a team start by playing second raters early in games is just Egotistical bullshit and the players suffer. Yes a great achievement to Coach a Premiership winning side in the NRL and yes it is ok to make judgement mistakes but to continue to punish the other players in the team by not giving them the best opportunity to win games is selfish. Funny how sides in this years Comp who were expected to be in the mix for the Title, cant get out of their own way. If the Coach wants the wraps for winning he is equally punishable for the lack of success. Anyway back to the Rabbits, a great win but it was against a team that didnt really turn up and also running right to left on screen at Accor is such a big first half advantage. Johnstons positional play should be taught to all up and coming wingers for ever. Maybe when we go to 20 teams we have 2 Comps of 10 each and have relegation and promotion, just an idea passed onto me by a mate. I think Humphreys impact last night showed he was a big out not getting game time over the last few rounds. Smith got better with his match fitness improving and the Rabbits have plenty of troops to get back but still a big but?
Bulldogs 14 - 1 Eels
OUR TIP: Bulldogs by 16 LOSS
The Bullshitdogs had enough ball to win 20 games but when you have a dud seven who cant play what is in front of him, it deadens your attack. Obviously the geniuses who signed Galvin as a seven have too big an Ego to admit they were wrong and move him to Lock or Six. The Egotists keep punishing the players for their own Ego, typical Selfishness from massive egos. Eels as a young side will get great confidence out of their defence after not having much field position. The Dogs are attacking like the Knights did last year, I wonder why? Bulldogs the Players keep having a dig, the crowds keep turning up, Coaches gone missing! I guess a win is a win?
Sharks 34 - 12 Dragons
OUR TIP: Sharks by 15 WIN
A very ordinary game of mistakes and ordinary defence. The Sharks were terrible in the first half but able to turn it around more due to the Dragons dropping their bundle in the 2nd half. The edge defence of the Dragons after half time was ordinary and the Sharks were flattered by the ease of their ability to get on the outside of the Dragons defence. this also was the absolute worst performance of the Dragons 6 and 7, which probably shows a need to sign a 7 for next year as well. The intensity of the competition will continue to bite sides on the Butt, as it is about getting up round by round. Yep the Dragons have upside but are still a season away from being a consistent side. The Jury is still out on the Sharks as the final score flattered the Sharks at home.
Panthers 68 - 0 Tigers
OUR TIP: Panthers by 22 WIN
A home game for the Tigers at the Panthers Home away from Home Ground! Confused? so were the Tigers. There was enough old heads in the Tigers Team to put up a better performance here but like so many sides these days, it is hard to get up every week. Again a wrap for Cpoach Cleary who was willing to rest his SOO Players last week for the betterment of the team, which is the secret to Coaching for the Season, instead of a game and your own Egotistic needs. Again a Winger playing in the Centres really puts pressure on your edge defence and these are the times you would be better off giving a young up and coming Centre some game time to see how they handle the occasion. Marshalls honest team summing up hopefully will put the team on notice going forward. My summation of the game is there are some Tiger Forwards not up to first grade standard and time to clean the shelves and bring on up and comers!
Broncos 23 - 28 Titans
OUR TIP: Broncos by 13 LOSS
Very dumb decision by MacGuire to start with two non running Halfbacks, just like a 6 doesnt make a 7, a 7 doesnt make a 6. 118 years of Rugby League proves that. Then MacGuire protecting his Ego removes Mam again when he had lit up the Game was even dumber but obviously done to protect his own Ego. Post match Interview MacGuire wrapped the players for their training midweek but should have put his hand up as the reason they got beat. Yes Walsh went missing on occasions, Sami try should not happen in 1st Grade but Mam was playing well enough to get on the Bench for SOO1 but couldnt get a place over at 3 game rookie. If Macguire is fair dinkum, he sacks Walsh for his lack of effort over the last two rounds but that wont happen! Yes we all make mistakes but the secret is to admit to them dont hide behind bullshit. One of the worst things about this result is the Broncos got every one of the Refs 50/50s during the game and still got beat on lack of effort at important times in the game. Does MacGuire go down the same path as Walters form GF Coach to TV personality? Or is the blame squarely on the players for being happy to be Yesterday's Heroes?

From The Author

BestLeagueRatings is a time proven Rugby League Rating System which was created around 30 years ago to take the emotional side out of your Rugby League Selections.

This system of Ratings has been pursued by Gambling Agencies but the Owner, Creator has stayed loyal to grass roots Rugby League Supporters.

The Owner has been offered deals by a few large Gambling Agencies but along with his upbringing would prefer to support the battlers.

Time now for making this successful formula open to all, where a subscriber can enter their own intuitive Player Ratings into BLRs unique stats formula and get a predicted game margin based on their input, as well as a Professional BLR game rating.

Years ago confronted by a renowned Journalist about who did my player ratings, when I replied "I did", the Journalist rolled his eyes to his Journalist mate to which I replied, "If you have to play 1st grade NRL to know anything about League, we would have a lot of empty newspapers."

A First Grade, Australian Rep sitting with us put the Journo in his place as well.

Any way the time is right now for the Player Rating side of the formula to be opened to Rugby League Supporters.

Cowboys Vs Dolphins

14 - 40

OUR TIP: Dolphins by 10 WIN
Dolphins continue their dominance of the Cowboys up North. The Cowboys have some great speed across their team but still go missing when they have to defend. Under pressure the Cowboys dont show much resilience. Maybe it is a fitness thing as the Dolphins come alive in the 2nd halves of their games, there must be a reason. Another Dolphins strength is they have a great hard working bench and lose nothing around resting their starting pack. A lot of Coaches have to find themselves before they get the ultimate rewards!
05.06.26

Raiders Vs Roosters

0 - 26

OUR TIP: Roosters by 10 WIN
Roosters bounce back was always on the cards after their dismal showing against the Storm last week. I think the Raiders were flattered by their win against the non cold weather Cowboys from last round and had a reality check against the Roosters. Good Coaches coach to win Comps not games and a lot of times a player backing up a week after a back up hit the wall a tad. I think Savage has been given plenty of opportunities but continues to be a defensive liability especially when Kris is out. Also Canberra not getting any punch off the Bench at the moment due to injuries. The Roosters have the best overall rating squad and still have a lot of upside on what they have produced so far. The Roosters still have some defensive problems on their edges but their Coach is smart enough to address this as he leaves no stone unturned. The NRL should not make facing the media compulsory for beaten Coaches, as their demeanour is scaring the kids watching!
05.06.26

Storm Vs Knights

32 - 30

OUR TIP: Knights by 2 WIN
Storm win a Cliffhanger against the Knights but again if De Klein is the best referee in the Comp, that is a sure sign that the Officials in the NRL and the Bunker , as alluded to by Bennett, are either Corrupt or have no idea about the rules of the game. Since 1908 an attacking player running in front of the ball taking out a player is a shepherd, not only taken out but had to be stretchered from the field and not even a penalty after having 10 minutes to make a call. Your choice audience, CORRUPT or DUMB. No wonder associates of mine will not back NSW in State Of Origin 2 just in case Klein gets up to his bullshit flow Refereeing from last year to ensure a third game decider! Storm are finding more resilience now and have decided rightly so to bring in some raw talent which will benefit the team long term. Knights probably still a year away from hitting their peak but will be all the better when Best is back as that will allow them to attack both sides of the field and also strenghten their defence on both sides. One more question, How Did The Ref or Bunker not see a Obstruction penalty in the Knights losing Crosslands for the game. If I am wrong I will apologise but if you run outside in, in front of the ball carrier and you take out a defender it is a PENALTY!!! Over to you NRL for an explanation!
31.05.26

Panthers Vs Warriors

20 - 18

OUR TIP: Panthers by 3 WIN
Been watching Rugby League since 1962 and this was one of the best Club Games I have watched. Warriors are genuine chances and the Panthers understrength were very very good. I think Tedesco is the best player in the Comp but Dylan Edwards last night was fantastic and went to another level. A sign of a true Champion to use his disappointment as a catalyst for a great game and not sook. More games like this will raise the world wide appeal of the NRL even though the Refereeing was questionable around 50/50s favouring the trailing team!
